JEKS Trading Sdn Bhd is wholly owned subsidiary of JEKS Engineering Sdn Bhd, the leading IBS (Industrialized Building System) Engineering, Contracting and manufacturing group in Malaysia- JEKS Engineering Sdn Bhd is 80 % owned by Finnish company.

JEKS Trading sells Harvia Sauna products and Karelia Floors, besides trading of some local materials in projects. The showroom will be solely for Harvia and Karelia products at this stage.

If Finland is famous about its' Precast Concrete Technology and Systems, which is JEKS Engineering's stronghold, it is also famous of its timber based industries and products. Harvia and Karelia are good examples of these at their best. JEKS Trading likes to promote also these world highest standard products beside very 'grey' concrete image of JEKS group!

Harvia is a solid family company operating in Muurame, central Finland. It is rated in the top AAA category in Dun & Bradstreet Finland's credit classification. Harvia employs some 180 people. The company’s budgeted turnover for 2007 is EUR 45 million.

JEKS Trading sold in 2007 about 160 saunas in Malaysia as the life style and requirements of Malaysians are changing and relaxation becomes more sophisticated and demanding. Karelia-Upofloor Oy

Karelia-Upofloor Ltd is Kuopio based and one of the leading door finishing manufacturers in Europe.

"Our main products are wood flooring and resilient floorings. We are currently among the major wood flooring manufacturers in Europe. As producers of resilient floorings we hold a significant position in the Nordic countries as well as being the only Finnish manufacturer resilient floorings.

Karelia-Upofloor Ltd comprises the parent company Karelia-Upofloor Ltd, which is responsible for the production and marketing of Karelia and Upofloor wood floorings, and its wholly-owned subsidiaries Upofloor Oy, which manufactures and markets Upoftoor resilient floorings and hardwood factories OOO Focus Wood in Russia and S.C. Karellia-Upofloor S.R.L. in Romania.”

Karelia-Upoftoor Ltd is firmly rooted in Finland, owning seven production facilities throughout the country and hardwood flooring factories in Russia and in Romania. In 2006 the Corporation employed approximately 700 people.

The establishment of Karelia-Upofloor Ltd in 2000 brought together two strong Finnish flooring manufacturers - Upofloor and Karelia Parketti.

Karelia Parketti began in 1981, focusing on installation, importation and wholesaling of hardwood floorings. In 1992 the company launched its hardwood floor production under the brand name Karelia in Tuupavaara, and in 1998 another factory was opened In Kuopio.

Upofloor was originally founded by Nokia in 1955 to manufacture vinyl floor coverings in the town of Nokia. In the 1960s production was expanded to cover vinyl floorings and cushion vinyl flooring for public buildings. In 1981 a plant producing quartz vinyl tiles was opened In Ikaalinen.

In 1986 the production of hardwood flooring was launched under the brand name Upofloor in Nastola and in 1991 in Heinola.

Karelia produces about million square meters of flooring annually and this capacity is to increase close to 10 million sqm after the new factory in Ukraine.

JEKS Trading Sdn Bhd represents in Malaysia both timber flooring (Karelia brand name) and vinyl flooring (resilient floorings under Upofloor brand name). At the moment the timber flooring is area where we concentrate as vinyl floors can be competitive only in the special applications (such as high end hospitals).

Karelia hardwood timber flooring has more than 500 different designs with different timbers species, design pattern, finishing and structure of engineered planks. This gives wide range of selections to all individual selections.

Karelia flooring business has started and we have sold few projects so far. Demand of high end Engineered Floor is in rise and Karelia floors are of highest quality and best design in the world.
